My family was the best during my chemotherapy treatment. They were always there for me. They provided listening ears and the great advice that I needed to navigate this challenging time. From helping with tasks like picking up my children from school on chemo days, to making sure everything ran smoothly at home, my family took care of the things I couldn’t manage.
They never allowed me to stay in a negative state of mind for too long. While they reminded me that it was okay to get mad, they also helped me not dwell on it, knowing that negativity could take control if left unchecked.
Even though the chemo dulled my sense of taste, my family made me meals with love. The food may have been bland to my palate, but their effort and thoughtfulness nourished my spirit.
I love my family and feel so blessed to have had their unwavering support. They were my rock during one of the hardest periods of my life, and their love and care made all the difference.
